Create Distributions for Re-investments
You can re-invest distributions on behalf of your investors and communicate that activity to them. The best way to do this is to create a distribution of the Investment type. Essentially, when you add an investment distribution, an investor will view that distribution as an investment of some sort or another.

How to Set up an Investment Distribution Field
To set up an investment distribution, you must configure it at the fund level.
- Navigate to the fund in question.
- Click on the Distribution tab.
- From the ellipses [ ... ] menu select Configure.
- In the New Field menu, select/type Re-investment to create a new distribution type. Then, select the Investment checkbox before clicking Add.
- Then click OK.
How to Add an Investment Distribution
Adding an investment distribution is the same as adding any distribution. For example, if you want to communicate a re-investment of $2000 to an investor, you can simply create an investment-type distribution of $2000. This will then be communicated in the details of the investment and on the overview dashboard as an increase to committed capital. You can add an investment-type distribution by Generating Distributions for Simple Events (prorated or percent return) or Adding an Investment Distribution for a Single Investor.
