Understand Fund Status Types

When adding a new fund to Sensr Portal you will need to select the appropriate fund status from the drop-down menu.  There are three options available: Current Opportunity, Active, and Completed. For further clarification of what each status means and the implications of each, please refer to the details below.

Status options

  • Current Opportunity
    • At this stage, the fund is in the fundraising stage and being promoted to fundraise.
    • The fund may be visible to all or some investors if published and the access has been set.
    • Investors can make investment requests.
    • Admins can accept investment requests.
  • Active
    • At this stage, the fund is fully funded and no longer being promoted to fundraise.
    • There is no longer an opportunity to make investment requests.
    • Admins can no longer accept investment requests.
    • This is the stage the fund will stay in until it is disposed of (typically through a sale).
    • Cash flow distributions occur during this stage.
  • Completed
    • At this stage, the fund has been disposed of (typically through a sale).
    • Investors may receive one final distribution while the fund is in this stage where all outstanding capital and any profits are distributed to the investors.
    • In Sensr Portal, this fund is now displayed below any active deals in the portal.

Over the course of using Sensr Portal, you may need to update or change the fund or fund status. This can be easily done by clicking on the Edit fund details button on the fund page.
