Document and Folder Access Types

Access Types

The following Access Types are currently supported:

  • Permission Manager - files with this access type are managed in Contact Permissions. By default, folders are included within the Contact Permissions feature.
  • Public - files and folders with this access type are visible to the public based on the portal url settings. If the fund has a public minisite, then any file marked as public will be accessible through the public minisite or through any other webpage where the public minisite is embedded.

NOTE: The system prevents setting investment files as Public.


Edit Access Types (legacy)

  1. From the Fund page, navigate to the Documents tab.
  2. Under the Manage column click Edit to the right of the file name you want to edit.
  3. Verify the File/Folder name in the Edit pop-up window and use the Grant access to menu to modify.

  4. Click Save.
  5. To remove a file after it's been uploaded, simply locate the file in the Files section and click Delete.
  6. A pop-up window appears asking you to verify the action. Click OK.

NOTE: The ability to set access types in Investor Details Page: Documents Tab and Contact Details Page: Documents Tab has been removed.
