Functions: Communications - Email Templates
The Email Templates page is located under the Functions menu under the Communications tab. Here admins can send and publish emails for a fund using standard email templates. Custom email templates can also be created for specific scenarios, such as Capital Calls, Distributions, Tax, and Legal purposes. To save time, email templates can be duplicated, edited and saved to repurpose for recurring scenarios.

Standard Templates
Standard templates are original templates that can be created, edited and deleted upon request only by Sensr Portal. Please reach out to Sensr Portal support to inquire about this feature.
Important information about Standard Templates:
- Standard Templates can be viewed by admins and duplicated to create a new template. This provides admins the ability to create a newer, modified or entirely different version of the original template.
- Standard Templates that have been duplicated are considered a custom template and are stored in the related section of the functions and will appear in the pop-up window when creating a property update.
- Standard Templates can be hidden from admin view, if needed. This is helpful to hide older templates that are no longer in use, yet the client doesn't want deleted. *Keep in mind, a hidden templates will not appear in the pop up menu when creating an update.
IMPORTANT: Any additions or changes to existing Master Templates must be handled by Sensr Portal support team.
Custom Templates
Custom templates are fillable templates that can be generated by admins. By default, they are viewable by everyone, however, they can be hidden by an admin.
Important information about Custom Templates:
- Custom templates can be created, edited, deleted or hidden by admins.
- Custom templates can be hidden from admin view. This is helpful to hide older templates that are no longer in use, yet the client doesn't want deleted. *Keep in mind, a hidden template will not appear in the pop up menu when creating an update.
Create a new Email Template
- From the Functions menu, select Communications.
The page is organized by tabs grouped by communication type. By default you will land on the Email Templates tab. The page has two sections: Standard Templates and Custom Templates.
- To add either a new Standard or Custom template, click the +Add button located above the related table. The only two required fields are Name and Subject.
- Type in the blank fields and use the Add Variable button to include Fund, Investor, Contact to complete these fields.
- Use the Body section to customize and create a new template. You can also use the Add Variable menu to include Fund, Investor, Contact.
- Click Save Template button when finished.

Edit, Delete or Hide a Fund Email Template
Should you need to make any modifications to a fund email template, delete or hide the template, the process is as follows:
From the Communications page located under the Functions menu.
To the right of the template under the Actions column, click on one of the options listed below.
- Pay attention to the differences between each option:
- Edit - make your changes and click Update Template button.
- Delete - Click OK in the pop up that appear Are you sure you want to delete this template?
- Hide - Click Hide. A green banner appears at the top notifying you the template is hidden. To reverse this action, click Show in the Actions menu.
- Duplicate - allows you to make a duplicate that can be modified accordingly. *This option is only available for Standard templates.
IMPORTANT: Deleting a Fund Email Template is an irreversible action.
