Delete a Contact
We typically recommend avoiding the deletion of a contact if they have held an investment and recommend other methods, such as changing their email address to an invalid email so this user will not receive communications and won't be able to log in. In the event a deletion is necessary, the system includes a few safety features to ensure you don't accidentally delete any data you want to keep.
To Delete a Contact
- Navigate to the Contacts tab and locate the contact's profile.
- If the contact holds any investments or has access to documents, you will need to delete them.
- Delete their investment and reassign it to a mock user.
- Delete any documents assigned to their contact by navigating to the contact's page, click the Files tab. Click Remove next to all files.
- Once all investments and files are no longer associated to the contact, you can delete them by clicking Edit Contact Details. Then, click the Delete button.

Safety Features
When accessing a contact from the main Contacts tab, be advised if a contact still has investments, files, or any associated investors with their contact profile, the system will prevent their deletion.
IMPORTANT: A pop-up will appear for you to select whether or not to Delete the Contact And Investors or to Delete Contact Only after clicking Delete. Proceed with caution as deletion is an irreversible action.
