Distributions for Sale Events

When a sale event occurs, typically you will have a cash distribution with two portions:

• Return of capital, returning each investor's remaining outstanding capital balance.
• Profit distribution, for all left-over profit after paying back investors' outstanding capital balances.

How to Process Distributions for Sales Events

1. First, ensure you have set up a Return of Capital Distribution Type: Configuring a Distribution Table on a Property
2. Then, use the Generate Distributions Feature to return 100% of outstanding capital, and prorate all profit distributions by ownership percentage. You can also upload each investor's participation in the return of capital and profit events accordingly.
