Configure the Distribution Table

Each fund can be configured to handle distributions specific to that fund or property. This is in case you handle distribution events differently for different assets. In Sensr Portal you can configure the distribution table according to your needs. When you create a new fund and are ready to show a distribution on the software, first, you must configure your distribution table available on the Distributions tab located directly on the Fund page.

How to Configure the Distribution Table

  1. Access the distributions tab by navigating to the Fund page and clicking on Distributions.

  2. Next, click on the ellipses menu at the top right.
  3. This opens the menu to reveal various options. Select Configure where you can add distribution types relevant to your fund.

  1. Add a distribution type by entering the name of the distribution in the New Field Column text box and flagging the appropriate distribution type.

  2. Clicking Add will make it visible in the configuration table. Click OK to save.

NOTE: This new field will show up as an additional column on the table on the Distributions tab, unless you select the Hidden type.

IMPORTANT: Check the appropriate distribution type for each distribution you add as each field added will affect what investors see on the portal. For example, any distribution that is a return of capital should be marked as a return of capital, as this will affect what your investors see on their dashboard in terms of Capital Outstanding.

  1. Repeat this process for each distribution type you would like to add and then click OK to ensure all changes are applied to the distribution table for this fund.

TIP: Click Edit or Remove to modify or delete any of the fields from the Distribution table.

Return of Capital

Flagging a distribution as a Return of Capital will affect what a contact sees on their dashboard, if they receive a distribution that is a return of capital, then their Capital Outstanding amount will decrease and they will see a separate section for Return of Capital on the dashboard.

Some examples of distributions might include:

  • Distribution that is considered excess income beyond any return of capital (not flagged)
  • Distribution that is considered a return of capital (flagged as the return of capital)
  • Income (not flagged)
  • Re-investment (flagged as an investment)
  • Return of Capital (should be flagged as Return of Capital)
  • Capital Return (should be flagged as Return of Capital)
