Communicate Accrued Value to Your Investors

Accrued Value distributions allows you to enter distribution amounts of type Accrued for your investors. This can be helpful at times when you want to communicate a change in the value of your investors' equity that hasn't been paid out as a distribution or an amount accrued on a debt note.

Using Accrued Value distributions allows your investors to view the value accrued on their investment in each fund and view their total accrued value across all investments on their Overview Dashboard.

How Accrued Value Works

Configure your Distribution Table

You'll first need to configure your distribution table for the related fund to make the accrued value distribution type.  You can read more about configuring distribution tables here.

Add Accrued Value as a Distribution to the Fund

Adding accrued value is the same as adding a distribution.  For example, if you want to communicate an increase in equity of $200 to an investor, you can create an Accrued Value distribution of $200.  This will then be communicated as accrued value to the investor and not as an actual distribution.  You can add accrued value distributions using the following methods:

When the investor logs into the Sensr Portal software, they will see this accrued value on the fund page:

Aggregate Accruals

You can also display accrued value to your investors on an aggregate level.  To do so, go to the Preferences page, click on Investor View tab and turn on Accrued Value under Overview.  Here you can also change the name of  Accrued Value to whatever you see fit:

Once turned on, your investors will see a box for Accrued Value with whatever name you chose to display in the Preferences on their dashboard.  In this example, we changed the name to Equity.
